Horizontal braces are placed at the top of an aluminium scaffold. Four braces act as a guardrail around the platform and protect workers from falling. Horizontal braces are also recommended at the bottom of mobile towers four metres or taller. They can act as support similar to Diagonal Braces.

All braces undergo testing to ensure compliance with WorkSafe and Australian industry standards.
